Become a camp teacher
Teachers are 7th graders who have built a PC. You train for a week, then teach campers to build theirs. The computer you build in training is yours.

What we ask of a teacher
You've built at least one computer and can say what each part does without looking it up. You like explaining things, and you're patient when someone puts the RAM in backwards for the third time.
Before camp there's a short pre-quiz, not graded, so we know where everyone starts. Then the requirements document, and training week: the whole build, start to finish, as a team, plus the quizzes, slides and Windows USB sticks you'll use at your table.
The one rule. If a camper's part breaks by accident, you hand over your own so they finish on time. The warranty replacement comes to you after camp. Every teacher agrees to this before training starts.
Administrators are students too, with stricter must-haves: more than one build, and studying outside camp.
Training week
Five days before camp. Day by day: the build as a team, teaching the build back to each other, the quizzes and slides, the USB sticks, then a full dry run with the administrators as campers.
Camp week
Your table, your campers. You show each step on the screen, then they do it. Attendance once per class, from your phone. Lunch with everyone.

This summer's teachers
Chosen in the spring. Each teacher writes their own tag, and it stays on this page for the year.
